PROCEDURE DETAILS

Patient presented with hypomastia in the setting of tubular (constricted) breast deformity desiring augmentation. Tubular breast deformity is a congenital condition that can affect breast shape, symmetry, and development. Surgical correction reshapes the breast tissue, releases constricted areas, and may include implants, fat grafting, or a breast lift to create a more balanced, natural-looking contour.

Patient underwent breast augmentation with Natrelle Inspira smooth round full profile silicone implants in the dual plane (where portion of the implant is submuscular (underneath the pectoralis muscle) and portion of the implant is above the muscle using a combined periareolar (around the nipple) and inframammary (under your breast) fold incisions.

This approach allows correction of the constriction of the breast tissue, lifts the breast tissue and places the implant in the ideal position. Most importantly, it allows the “constricted” breast tissue to spread more evenly to give an aesthetically pleasing result. In this patient, we also used a resorbable mesh (internal bra) to help support the implant for a longer-lasting result.
