Breast Augmentation
PROCEDURE DETAILS
Patient presented with hypomastia desiring augmentation. Patient underwent breast augmentation with600 cc smooth, round silicone implants in the submuscular (underneath the pectoralis muscle) plane using inframammary fold incision.
Breast augmentation remains at the forefront of aesthetic surgery, offering women the opportunity to enhance and redefine their silhouette. Our patient’s journey started with hypomastia, a condition signifying underdeveloped breasts. For many women, this can often lead to feelings of inadequacy or a lack of confidence in their appearance.
In the nuanced realm of breast augmentation, the selection of the implant is pivotal. The decision to use 600 cc smooth, round silicone implants for this patient was taken after careful consideration of her anatomy and desired outcome. These implants are known for their natural feel and their ability to provide a full, balanced look, seamlessly blending with the body’s contours.
Opting for the submuscular plane, where the implant is placed beneath the pectoralis muscle, is a strategic choice. This placement offers added coverage, reduces the palpability of the implant, and typically results in a more natural-looking contour. Especially in the case of larger implants, like the 600 cc chosen for this patient, this method ensures that the augmented breasts maintain a harmonious appearance with the rest of the body.
The inframammary fold incision, situated within the natural curve beneath the breast, is advantageous for several reasons. It permits a direct view and precise placement of the implant, and any resulting scar is often well-concealed within the natural breast contours.
As our patient embarks on her post-operative journey, she can anticipate not only an enhanced bust line but also a renewed sense of self-esteem and confidence. This procedure, while transformative in its physical results, also deeply influences the emotional and psychological well-being of individuals, celebrating the harmony between body and self-image.
