Breast Augmentation
PROCEDURE DETAILS
Patient presented with hypomastia desiring augmentation. Patient also had breast ptosis (sagging breasts). As such, patient underwent breast augmentation with smooth, round silicone implants in the subfascial (underneath the breast tissue, above the above) plane using inframammary fold incision.
Breast augmentation is not just a surgical procedure; it’s an art that aims to rejuvenate the spirit by harmonizing the body’s proportions. This alignment between the internal self-image and the external presentation can profoundly impact a person’s confidence and well-being.
Our patient, presenting with hypomastia and breast ptosis, embarked on this journey to restore the youthful contour and fullness of her breasts. Hypomastia, a condition characterized by underdeveloped breasts, often makes many feel that their physique lacks the desired femininity or balance. Similarly, ptosis, or sagging of the breasts, can impact self-esteem.
The choice of smooth, round silicone implants offers a classic yet versatile aesthetic, mirroring the natural suppleness of youthful breasts. By placing the implants in the subfascial plane, right beneath the breast tissue and above the pectoral muscles, we aim for a look that seamlessly integrates with the patient’s anatomy, ensuring optimal positioning and minimizing visible rippling.
The inframammary fold incision technique was employed, tucking the surgical evidence discreetly under the natural breast crease. This choice ensures that the resultant beauty is unmarred by overt signs of surgical intervention.
