Breast Augmentation
PROCEDURE DETAILS

Patient presented with hypomastia desiring augmentation. Patient underwent breast augmentation with Mentor MemoryGel XTRA smooth round moderate plus silicone implants in the submuscular (underneath the pectoralis muscle) plane using an inframammary (under your breast) fold incision.

In the domain of cosmetic surgery, breast augmentation remains a popular choice for many desiring fuller, well-contoured bust lines. This particular patient, a statuesque Caucasian female in her twenties, came to us with concerns of hypomastia, a condition characterized by underdeveloped breasts. Given her distinct body frame, standing at 5’7″ and weighing 150 pounds, the challenge was to achieve an enhancement that looked both natural and proportionate to her physique.

After an in-depth consultation, the decision was made to use Mentor MemoryGel XTRA implants. Renowned for their consistent shape retention and natural feel, these implants are often the go-to for surgeons aiming for aesthetically pleasing outcomes. The chosen implant was the ‘Smooth Moderate Plus Xtra’ variant with a volume of 440 cc for both breasts, ensuring symmetry and harmony in appearance.

One of the crucial aspects of the procedure was the placement of the implant. The submuscular positioning, beneath the pectoralis muscle, was preferred due to its benefits in terms of reduced risk of rippling and a more natural silhouette. Moreover, the inframammary fold incision technique, which places the incision underneath the breast, was chosen for its discreet scar placement and easier access during the surgery.

Now, with the precision-driven augmentation completed, the transformation is not just physical. The confidence and self-assurance that come with feeling comfortable in one’s body are invaluable, and we’re pleased to have played a part in this patient’s journey.
