PRP Face / Hair Restoration

The Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) technique uses advanced blood concentrate technology to generate a fibrin matrix rich in platelets, leukocytes, and mesenchymal stem cells. This 100% autologous, all-natural rejuvenation technique that can be used for a number of rejuvenation and volumizing needs.

What is platelet-rich-plasma (PRP)?

Platelets are one of four primary components of blood (the other three are red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma). Platelets promote cell growth and regeneration. As the term “platelet-rich plasma” suggests, platelets are generally about five times more concentrated in PRP than in regular blood. This concentration of platelets is useful because platelets secrete growth factors that assist in wound healing and tissue regrowth.

What happens during your treatment?

To create platelet-rich plasma (PRP), our staff at Nuveau Plastic Surgery will take a blood sample from the patient and place it into a device called a centrifuge that rapidly spins the sample, separating out the other components of the blood from the platelets and concentrating them within the plasma.

After creating platelet-rich plasma from the patient’s blood sample, that solution is either injected directly into the area of concern or spread over the face alone or in combination with other aesthetic treatments such as microneedling or dermal filler (the so-called vampire facelift). The idea is to increase the concentration of specific bioproteins or hormones, called growth factors, in a specific area to accelerate volumization and collagen remodeling.

At Nuveau Plastic Surgery, we recommend a treatment series of three treatments for optimal results.

PRP Face: Unlocking Nature’s Secret to Radiant Skin

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) facial, often termed as the “vampire facial,” is an innovative cosmetic procedure that harnesses the rejuvenative power of your own blood to revitalize your skin. Combining the science of PRP with the art of facial aesthetics, it offers a holistic solution to a myriad of skin concerns.

The Science Behind PRP:

Our blood is teeming with growth factors and healing proteins – the very essence that promotes cell turnover and regeneration. PRP involves the extraction of a small amount of a patient’s blood, which is then spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. This “rich” plasma is now laden with several growth factors.

Procedure:

Once the PRP is prepared, it is reintroduced into the facial skin via microneedling or injections. This process stimulates collagen production, increases cell turnover, and enhances the skin’s natural ability to heal itself.

Benefits of PRP Face:

  • Natural Approach: Since PRP is derived from the patient’s own blood, it eliminates the risks associated with foreign substances.
  • Collagen Boost: Encourages collagen synthesis, leading to firmer and more youthful skin.
  • Scar and Wrinkle Reduction: Helps diminish the appearance of acne scars, sun damage, and fine lines.
  • Improved Skin Tone: Offers a more even skin tone and reduced redness.
  • Enhanced Hydration: Naturally hydrates the skin, reducing the appearance of dryness and dullness.

Ideal Candidates:

Whether you’re dealing with the early signs of aging, scars from acne, or simply want to give your skin a rejuvenated look, PRP Face is suited for those looking for a natural yet effective way to enhance their skin health.

Post-Care & Results:

Post-procedure, some minor redness and swelling can be expected, which typically subsides within 24-48 hours. The rejuvenative effects of PRP begin to show over the weeks following the treatment, with optimum results visible in 2-3 months.

Incorporating the latest advancements in aesthetic science, PRP Face is more than just a treatment; it’s an experience that takes you a step closer to flawless, age-defying skin. By unlocking the potential of your own body’s healing mechanisms, PRP Face stands at the forefront of regenerative skincare treatments.
